There Is Too Much Anime Canon Content In The Story. But personnally I have quite enjoyed the Boruto fillers as it playfully tempers with the limits of canonnon-canon. I honestly say watch whatever you want to watch and dont let others opinions sway whatever your curious or interested about.

For a series already 80 episodes in thats just fine. If you arent familiar with canon it basically means that these episodes are essential as they are part of the official storyline.
